Mom, Dad, and the Boys

The winter holidays are a wonderful time to celebrate family.  In my own family, we celebrated our firstborn and his new younger brother who arrived just in time.  This family has the three most precious boys, who obviously love each other and are best buds!

A Family Portrait

Right after Christmas, with the family all together, I was able to capture the Arciniega family portrait in their beautiful home.  It was the perfect opportunity with family in town from California so everyone could be photographed together.

Waiting for Baby

The afternoon of November 27th I finally dealt with the itch to get some family portraits taken while pregnant with my second baby.  We had put it off long enough, and I "had" to get it done, now.

So we three set up for some family portraits at home with my trusty tripod and handy remote control.  That's the way to do it when the photographer is the subject of the photograph!

I will always treasure these photos, especially because my son was born the very next day.  This was just about the absolute last day possible to take these photos, and they show me just about as pregnant as I could ever be!

Someone once said to me that if I started feeling like I could move a fridge, then it was a sign that the baby was coming.  I guess for me the sign is my urge for a photo session!

Forty-Six Years and Counting

Meet the Oliveiras, who celebrated forty-six years of marriage in 2012!  What a handsome couple and wonderful people.  This photo session was given to them as a gift by their thoughtful daughter! What a great gift!!!

Mr. Oliveira literally wrestled a deer for this rose!  Well, maybe not, but he would have.

 In forty-three years, I hope to be just like this couple, celebrating love and each other.
